All lit up and decorated with ornaments. The natural conifers don't grow here and the artificial were not available as they are now. But that did not stop us from having fun, decorating it and enjoying the enchanted look. Mum used to somehow procure a tree from the garden, plant it in decorative planter and Dad used to install the lights and it was all ours for decorating.
Today people are creating creative alternate X-mas trees for various reasons ... their creative juices are overflowing....there are more eco-friendly options available, or something that takes less square footage in a tiny apartment or condo. Whatever the reasons, I was quite impressed by the different ideas people are coming up with. Check it out....
