I believe.. that a child's room may be called a bedroom, but it is much more that that. It is where the child sleeps and plays, where they dress and study, and where they can go to be with friends or spend some solo time. The best childrens' spaces are shaped around all of these functions and around the kids themselves- their ages, interests, personalities and imaginations.
As children grow older (into their tween/teens) you get to know more about their interest and you could do a lot to encourage that by providing them the right environment.
