French theme room

This room was designed by Candice Olson for her TV show on HGTV "Devine Design". This room was for  nine year old Danielle, who was a regular nine year old and a huge fan of "Devine Design."

Above is how the room looked before the makeover. A small room with a bay window, bed and some storage.
This is the perspective which Candice sketched. The bay window seat was to be converted into a study, canopied in a very french styled window treatment.
The color scheme is mainly black and white with pink. The way you see most of the Americans decorate a french themed room. The only difference here is a hint of mint green.
The wardrobe shutters were treated with chalkboard paint for all the scribbling. Once again the same valence was created as the window.
The plush and stylish seating was placed between two chest of drawers, which were refinished with mirrors to carry on with the theme. This created a nice seating nook which is opposite the bed for some nice conversation when friends are over. There was a TV placed above it, which could be viewed seated on the bed.
The room was finished with very french accessories, like the poodle plush cushion and rug, a pink crystal chandelier, pompom trims for the drapes etc.
